May is the month we honour Mary. This month at Faith on Tap, we have Army Captain Joseph Moloney speaking about Our Lady.http://www.facebook.com/events/145591412232865/
Do Catholics worship Mary?
Did Our Lady have children after Jesus?
Which apparitions of Our Lady are approved by the Church?
Which very popular apparititions are NOT approved by the Church and why?
What does Eve, Ruth and Esther have to do with Mary?
Why is Our Lady called "The Ark of the New Covenant?"
Why did Luther and Calvin even believe that Our Lady is a perpetual virgin?
This talk aims to clear up some of the confusion surrounding Our Lady. Come along to The Pineapple and find out what the Catholic Church teaches about Our Lady and the important role she plays in our salvation as we draw on the biblical proof and the traditions of the Church to explore the Truth and dispel the lies about Our Lady, Queen of Heaven.
We also have some special guests from Sydney speaking about The Legion of Mary.
Adoration, Benediction and Confession will be available from 5:30pm to 6:30pm at St. Joseph's Kangaroo Point with FoT chaplain Fr. Bavin Clarke.
The church is accessible from Anglesey Street and it's only 400 metres from the Pineapple!
From 6:30pm - 7:30pm the special $10 FoT menu will be available in The Park bar as usual and the talk will begin at 7:30pm with a Q&A to follow.
So join us at the Pineapple on Monday the 14th of May for a great night out.
Faith on Tap is strictly for those between 18-35 years*
*(Priests and Religious of all ages are welcome)
We will be meeting at the UQ Lakes bus station at 6 p.m. and taking a bus (109/209/29) to the Gabba. It's ok if you arrive at the bus-stop a little after 6, or if you can only make it for the talk at 7.30, that's fine too. Please rsvp on the Newman Facebook Group so we know to look out for you.
God has created me to do him some definite service; he has committed some work to me which he has not committed to another. I have my mission — I may never know it in this life, but I shall be told it in the next. I have a part in a great work; I am a link in a chain, a bond of connection between persons.

“Dear Lord, help me to spread thy fragrance everywhere I go.
Flood my soul with Thy spirit and life.
Penetrate and possess my whole being so utterly that all my life may only be a radiance of Thine.
Shine through me, and be so in me that every soul I come in contact with may feel Thy presence in my soul.
Let them look up and see no longer me but only Thee O Lord!
Stay with me, and then I shall begin to shine as Thou shinest; so to shine as to be a light to others.
The light O Lord will be all from Thee; none of it will be mine;
It will be Thou, shining on others through me.
Let me thus praise Thee in the way Thou dost love best, by shining on those around me.
Let me preach Thee without preaching, not by words but by my example, by the catching force, the sympathetic influence of what I do, the evident fullness of the love my heart bears to Thee.”
