Just a reminder that we'll be starting up our weekly meetings as of
Wednesday 27th February at 1pm in the Chaplaincy Centre (Building 38).
We'll shortly be arranging another meeting time to cater for people who can't make our Wednesday meetings. If you can't make Wednesday please let us know what times you are available so we can cater to you.
Quick note, if you're having trouble getting around campus (trust me, we get it), and you have a smartphone, try downloading the UQ maps app. It's free and pretty easy to use :-)
Even if you're too busy to make it to meetings (hey, it happens), remember we have a lot of events outside of uni that we attend.
We'll post info both here and on our Facebook page as these crop up so keep checking for updates :-D
Looking forward to seeing you all next week! God Bless you all and good luck this semester!

God has created me to do him some definite service; he has committed some work to me which he has not committed to another. I have my mission — I may never know it in this life, but I shall be told it in the next. I have a part in a great work; I am a link in a chain, a bond of connection between persons.
— Bl John Henry Cardinal Newman
The posts on this blog are completed by the 2013 executive to keep all members up to date on the latest Newman news
“Dear Lord, help me to spread thy fragrance everywhere I go.
Flood my soul with Thy spirit and life.
Penetrate and possess my whole being so utterly that all my life may only be a radiance of Thine.
Shine through me, and be so in me that every soul I come in contact with may feel Thy presence in my soul.
Let them look up and see no longer me but only Thee O Lord!
Stay with me, and then I shall begin to shine as Thou shinest; so to shine as to be a light to others.
The light O Lord will be all from Thee; none of it will be mine;
It will be Thou, shining on others through me.
Let me thus praise Thee in the way Thou dost love best, by shining on those around me.
Let me preach Thee without preaching, not by words but by my example, by the catching force, the sympathetic influence of what I do, the evident fullness of the love my heart bears to Thee.”
—Bl John Henry Cardinal Newman
