What is the 'Newman Catholic Society'?
Formed in 1914, the Newman Catholic Society is the first official student club of the University of Queensland’s St Lucia Campus.
University can be a challenging environment with the demands of studying, forming quality friendships and fostering a solid faith. We aim to foster a community that shares life and the university experience. We also aim to inspire our peers to learn about and actively live out the Catholic faith, in a spirit of fellowship, and to play a role in evangelisation.
Membership is open to all students, staff and friends of the University of Queensland, Catholic and non-Catholic.
